Author's Note:

First and foremost, a very BIG thank you to oilcorner for all his invaluable help - I cannot stress enough how great it was to have a fresh pair of knowledgeable eyes looking over my shoulder at this thing.

This image started out inspired by the Saint-Saens music - Death playing his fiddle at the stroke of midnight and calling all the skeletons to dance - but ended up a bit closer to the medieval allegory, where Death leads all - young, old, rich, poor, sinner, saint - to the grave. Cheerful, eh? :D

(Medieval allegory,Saint-Saens' Danse Macabre, in case anyone's interested)

Main sources (I didn't include all the individual bone sources - pretty much have had enough of them by now!)

Full view is 800 x 1200

Thanks again, soli, for setting this up - it's been fun. And good luck to everyone!
