Author's Note: History repeats itself in the sense that the innocent always suffer the most. The image that accompanies virtually every war is a river of refugees forced to leave their homes and flee into the unknown.
I used this reference photo (from http://memory.loc.gov) to make a sketch.
Afterwards I played with it in Painter and added a building in the background(another reference photo).
