Author's Note: About .75 lb of Super Sculpey and acrylic paint.
In the top photo you can see where I had to go back and repaint two pixels in the face after some cursing.
Source, inspiration, and my pixel grid and color g..., taken from my favorite NES game, Zelda II: Adventures of Link.
First, I measured and cut off a slab at 16x8x1.5 centimeters.
Then, scored and cut .5 centimeters square "tiles" about .25 centimeters deep.
Used my guide above, to cut out the negative "pixels".
Finally, baked and hand painted each tiny piece.
