Author's Note: This is the famous Mt. Labrador on the coast of southern Maine. It attracts few visitors a year, thanks mostly to its out-of-the-way location, about 50 miles west of Portland and 50 miles away from anything else. Scientists have indeed studied this formation, and have concluded that it must be the work of extraterrestrial life.
