Author's Note: It was our final dive of the trip. At 130 feet below loch ness, the water was cold and the visibility was poor. Our tanks were nearly empty when it emerged from the darkness, gliding quietly between us, indifferent to our presence. I had enough time to snap a picture before it disappeared again, just as quietly, back into the murkey depths.
