Author's Note: I decided to use two key symbols when it comes to speeding tickets, and package it in a web 2.0 look, as requested. The monochromatic blue color scheme gives both, a feel for "police" as well as "relief". Showing non-gradient, as well as gradient versions, works well on either light or dark background, and the logo and text can function together as well as separately.
As for the tag line, I chose "Drive $afely" after a good deal of thought. It has a sort of subliminal message. The tag line for this business walks a thin line, because on one hand, you don't want to encourage people to break the law, but on the other hand you want to be reassuring that they are in good hands, should they receive a ticket. "Drive $afely" conveys the idea in an understated way. On one hand, it implies the company's care for it's customers, and the drivers' need to operate their vehicles sensibly, on the other hand, the dollar sign also means, they are "safe" when it comes to the fines to be paid IF they get a ticket. I also wanted to select a tag line that wasn't necessarily dependent on the logo design itself.
