Broken Vows by bevissimo
11th place entry in Bonus: Poetry - Minute Poems

Don’t you ever do that again
With deed or pen.
I can’t accept
Your word unkept.

I look at you with suspicion,
Some derision,
Mostly with fear
To let you near.

How I hunger for any love.
It’s not enough,
Your empty vow
Is worthless now.
