Beaches by KatDanson
7th place entry in Bonus: Poetry - Monorhyme 2

Summer is that time of year
When many men pack up their gear
And head out to the nearest pier
To fish and drink a little beer

Others to the beach stay near,
And some of them are there, I fear,
To whistle, gawk, and -- frankly -- leer
At every passing lady’s rear

Now, doctor, author, engineer,
Accountant, banker, auctioneer,
I beg of you to please adhere
To rules of watching I’ll make clear

First, when a lady passes near,
And you decide to cheer or jeer,
Please make sure she can only hear
Good things, or you will bring a tear

Next, if at some girl you should peer
And say something that’s not sincere,
She’ll see you as a creep, my dear,
And far away from you she’ll steer

But if she sees that you revere
Her looks, and then you volunteer
To help her with the beach cashier --
You might just get a souvenir!
