She took to the sky, when the summer was high
The angel with newly-grown wings
Soaring towards the horizon, she’d die
In the sorrow her yesterday brings
A nest in the sky, now the winter is high
She’s mending her newly-scarred wings
If only she’d known she never could fly
The song of tomorrow she sings
A night with clear sky, the angel fell shy
The pain in her heart burst and stings
He’s soaring towards her, passing her by
She feels the breeze of his wings
A crow in the sky, is watching her cry
Its presence, a memory brings
Of love and compassion; she lets out a sigh
And tears off her scarred, broken wings
