"Smile." The clicking of the button and flashing light distract me from reality for as long as it takes. She was wearing nothing but a silk white sheet, covering what she needs to. I move constanly, tilting the camera everyway I could. She stood, sat, knelt, smiling, flirting, posing for the camera lens, not the camrea man. "Great job, Brandi." She nodded and smiled. She had been here since last month. I have no idea why, I thought she just loved the camera. I was packing up the camera when I overheard a conversation with her and her manager. "Why can't you go to the photoshoot in Hollywood, Brandi? It has better quality and props." I scowled. "No, Angela. I like it here. It's cool, sweet, and, to be honest, I think the camera man is really good at his shots." I smiled, silently thanking her for the compliment. I went out the back door after they left. I put my suitcase in the back of the Pick-Up and drove off to my loft. I was riding up the elevator, thinking about Brandi. "She is beautiful." I kept playing in my head, it was stuck on repeat. I unlocked the door and set my stuff down on my bed. I freshened up and checked my E-Mail. I saw that I got a message from someone new. I clicked it and a letter popped up on the virtual paper.
"Dear Tom, It's Brandi. I was wondering if you could meet me at the studio at 11:00 pm tonight? Angela is going out and I really have to talk to you. I'll be there at 10:50. See you soon :)Brandi."
I looked at the clock, 8:16 pm. I wonder what she needs me for. I looked around in my closet for something nice to wear, finding a fancy shirt and pants. I doubt it's a date. Ha! While panicing on finding clothes, my IM tune played. "Tom, wear something formal. Forgot 2 tell you. sorry :)"
At least that question is solved. I found my old tuxedo from senior prom and put it on. I doubt I can gain 100 lbs in two years. It still fit like it was two years ago. The carnation fell of in its dying misery. I saw no stains and cleaned up in the bathroom. I brushed my hair and teeth, washed my face and everything. I had no facial hair, so I was good with that. It was 10:45 when I was done. I never realized how long it was. I shut off my computer, ran downstairs, and started up my truck. It sputtered to life and roared down the street. I followed traffic laws, unfortunetly, but still made it a minute before Brandi said. I hid behind the brick wall, wanting to surprise her. I heard a car pull up and stop. "I don't want to Brandi! I don't think he'll like me!" I had a confused feel on my face. "No, he'll like you. Trust me. Please. You said you would!" "Fine." I stepped out from the shadows, revealing Brandi and another person with her. Brandi was wearing a baby blue dress that went to her knees, complementing her shape. Her blonde hair fell down to her shoulder blades like a fountian. Her blue eyes shined when she saw me. "Hi Tom. I want you to meet Nancy. Nancy, Tom." "Hi." She said shyly. She wasn't as pretty as Brandi, but close. She had Chocolate eyes that seemed exotic, yet charming. Her dark brown hair was longer than Brandi's, down to her waist, with its sexy, wavy texture. The white flower in her hair made her look lovely. The dark red dress highlighted her heels and matching purse. Her skin was tanner than Brandi's as well. She looked Spanish. "Hi Nancy." I shook her hand. She smiled. "Tom, do you have your camera with you?" I nodded and went to get it. I came back, seeing Nancy fix herelf. "Can you take a few pics for us?" "Sure, come inside." I unlocked the door, frowning away from the girls. I thought it was something else. I got my camera ready while the girls were practicing poses. "Nancy, you can't." "I have to!" "No! You're staying! Please. You have to get over your fears of cameras." "Ok. Only beacuse...Tom's cute." I smiled. They both got in front and posed for the lens. They were holding hands, hugging, and laughing and smiling. "Ok. Let's get some solo pics. Me first!" Brandi called. Nancy stood out of the way, watching her beat the flashes and flirt with the camera. Brandi left and told Nancy it was her turn. She smiled and kissed and danced, but not at the camera. She was smiling at me! She was done and they both thanked me, paid, then left. Even though I only dressed up to make Brandi happy, It was Nancy that make my life worth living. Perhaps one day, someone is going to do that again, just for me, without the camera.
