Author's Note: All succumb to time and tide (and if you're a crab-to seagulls). This entry was a conscious effort to make a statement about mortality and the brevity of life. The figures are sad as they realize their mortality and the inevitability of fate. The seagull actually represents untimely/random death (as the crab well knows) such as an accident or sudden illness. The rays of light, though, represent a higher power and hope for life after death. As I hit middle age, I begin to see my own mortality (albeit hopefully a good ways off) and even the crumbing shoulder represents a current, age-induced shoulder injury I have so all in all, a cathartic experience. Ok, I'm moving back to the shallow end now :D Please hit zoom.
