Author's Note: My first attempt at painting a person. As always I am excited to get some feedback! My biggest trouble was getting a decent skin tone (that pink cast is not a product of the camera, she really does look a little over-tanned). And with the hair being the focus (or at least the reason for the painting!), I'm not quite happy with how it turned out.
