Author's Note: Various materials were used in the making of the collage:
- cardboard, for the base;
- pieces of magazines;
- pieces of newspapers;
- letters torn out of a newspaper and rearranged to create the text parts;
- colored paper;
- gauze, painted in black (for the road);
- aluminum foil and pieces of magazines, surrounded by eggshell mosaic (for the trees);
- thick black thread (for the arrow and around the road);
- thin black thread (around the characters and all around the picture);
- white and brown thread (around the trees).
The phrase at the top of the page comes from Perrault's version of the tale : "Little Red Riding Hood set out immediately to go to her grandmother, who lived in another village."
("Mère-grand" means "grandmother", "le loup" is the wolf and "Le Petit Chaperon rouge" is Little Red Riding Hood.)
