Author's Note: I'm not waiting to rise from the ashes in this furnace of a nest. I'm bailing now!
A juvenile phoenix leaps from his treetop home to rightly take over the forest as overseer due to the timely demise of both of his parents and the unfortunate death of his weaker brother.
I did a lot of experimenting with different color changes. In the end I like the more natural blues and greens version best. It just seemed to compliment the warm colors.
