Author's Note: This was for my Halloween costume this year. It was a last minute addition due to being frighteningly busy at work and pulling long hours.
Normally I put a lot more time into my costumes, but at the last minute my wife suggested store bought costumes of Kermit and Miss Piggy. The Kermit costume came with a cheap pullover rubber mask. It didn't even cover the back of my head or neck. Needless to say I took matters into my own hands in the few hours I had available to me.
This mask is constructed with a foam skull underneath to hold the shape, felt for the mouth interior, black mesh for the eyeholes in the center of the mouth, and green fleece that matched the hands and feet that came with the store-bought costume.
I made quite the splash at my daughter's school! My wife and I were in the trick or treat parade with her and the kids were highly amused. ( I stayed in character the whole time, not removing my mask)
