Author's Note: A chilly October night in Canada.
I wanted to catch some spark drifting up from the fire, but I had no tripod, so I took this one with my elbows braced on my knees. Four seconds was just long enough to partially illuminate the background, while accentuating the heat of the fire, yet not overexposing it.
