Worth1000 Member Guidelines

Here are the general guidelines we follow at Worth1000. Please note that just because a "rule" isn't listed here doesn't mean that it is within the limits of what is acceptable. Use your good judgment and common sense if you are uncertain about something. Or feel free to email us at support[a]worth1000.com and we'll answer your question.

ENTRIES AND IMAGE UPLOADS

  1. This site is intended to be suitable for ALL ages and is completely safe for work. We don't want people accidentally coming across adult or violent images without warning. If a contest is not labeled as mature, then do not upload an unsafe entry to it without tagging it correctly.
  2. Do not submit any entry that contains someone else's proprietary material (copyrights or trademarks) that you don't have the right to use.
  3. Do not submit an entry that contains someone else's proprietary material that you DO have the right to use without attributing them correctly and explaining what portion their work constitutes.
  4. Do not embed a visible signature into your work. You can embed a secret signature in a way that is covertly subtle.
  5. Worth1000 is world-reknowned for the quality of the entries submitted here. Please help us maintain our reputation by submitting only your best work.

VOTING & COMMENTING

  1. Use the accepted voting scale of the arena you are in to calibrate your votes (if available). Do not make up your own criteria.
  2. If you enter any contest other than a "head-to-head" (h2h or private competition) it is considered good courtesy to vote for other entries in that contest.
  3. If you have a friend or coworker playing on the site who has uploaded a photo for which you would like to rate, please take the time to rate a majority of the other voters as well. We'd even request you NOT rate your friends work because your vote may be biased.
  4. Worth1000 contests should be based on skill and not popularity. Please don't request people to vote high on your entry. If you invite friends to the site and want them to rate your entry, please ask them to be fair.

FORUM, CHAT,MESSAGING & ENTRY COMMENT ETIQUETTE

  1. Though this site is competitive by nature, competition solely takes place through your entries and skill. Being a poor sport and leaving negative feedback for someone that is not constructive in nature is against the spirit of our community. As a rule of thumb, if you think an entry sucks, please alert the moderators about it only.
  2. If you indicated that you wanted critique, accept any polite critique you received with a thick skin. Do not start a flame war (and next time, don't request critique).
  3. Self promotion is very annoying. Do not ask people to vote on your entry; visit a website you are personally involved with or otherwise gain from. Feel free to link to your website in your bio or take out a text ad on the site, but don't bombard us with non-paying ads please.
  4. Do not harass any members of the site through any medium (even off-site). If we get wind of it, we may choose to exclude you from the community, because we don't like jerks.
  5. Worth1000 isn't a matchmaking service. To that end, please don't: "drool" over another members' image in the forums or chat; flirt openly with other members (save it for your private correspondence); or otherwise use this service as a way to form sexual relationships.
  6. If a member indicates that they are a minor, do not flirt with them in private either.
  7. Don't post a forum message that is intended to break the system, waste people's time reading it or waste database space.
  8. Don't use the worth1000 messaging system to contact someone for commercial gain without Worth1000's explicit permission.
  9. The Worth1000 message system is not your private email. Please don't use it in illicit ways, creepy ways or to facilitate your affairs.
  10. Worth1000 is about relaxing and enjoying a laid-back atmosphere. To that end, we HATE drama. If little things upset you and you need to make a production out of it, find another place to hang out please. As an addendum, conspiracy theorists, attention-whores, self-proclaimed "defenders of the masses rights," legal experts (without law degrees), free speech hippies and other idiots who think the rules don't apply to them on this privately owned site, are not welcome here.
  11. If you are unhappy with a moderator's decision or have any kind of grievance about the site, send it to the administrators as a private message. We'll take your comments to heart. Posting your grievance in public is interpretted as immaturely stirring up drama and we won't take your grievance seriously.

BANNING & DISQUALIFICATIONS

We're not in the business of banning people for no reason. We prefer a large friendly growing community and request that people treat each other and the kind people who volunteer there time here with respect.

To those of you who ignored the above and feel the need to get themselves removed from the community:

  1. If you are banned, all of your credits or outstanding owed balance will be donated to the site. No refunds. If you are reinstated after being banned, you will get your credits back.
  2. If you are banned, any entries or comments that you left on the site, will remain on the site as part of the permanent contest record. Requests to remove your work will be ignored. Please keep this in mind before uploading an entry.
  3. If your image is disqualified, your image will remain in your stats page with a disqualification mark next to it and any credits you (or your sponsor) paid for them, will not be refunded. Please READ the site rules before working hard on an entry. If there is a moderator error and it's too late to reinstate your entry, we will delete the image from your stats and refund your credits.
  4. If you are banned, you are no longer welcome at the site until we approve you back. No new accounts without our permission.
  5. Send a message to support(a)worth1000.com if you feel you were banned incorrectly (or want to speak to us privately about it). Please include any information relevant to your request to help us look into the matter.
