One of the things Ive noticed is the addition of shadows placed around objects, particularly in the out of bounds contests, that might actually reduce the illusion of space.Ive shown a very simple example of what I mean below. The shadow behind the frog is something I see frequently in the OOB images. To me it diminishes the effect of the frog leaping free of the lily pads and makes it seem as if the frog were a 2 dimensional cutout. I think the elimination of the shadow entirely or placing a shadow on the ground way below the frog on a plane with the lily pads would be a better approach.
